Ubuntu Kylin 20.04 is the fourth long-term support (LTS) version after 14.04, 16.04 and 18.04, and the official will provide technical support for 3 years. The release of Ubuntu Kylin 20.04 is equipped with the latest 5.4 kernel and the new UKUI 3.0 desktop environment preview by default. It supports both x86 and arm64 architectures, which will provide users with a broader hardware support, a more beautiful UI interface, and a unified cross platform interaction experience.
Ubuntu Kylin operating system 18.04 (Bionic Beaver) is the third long-term support version after 14.04 and 16.04. It officially provides technical support (including regular update / bug repair / security upgrade) for up to three years, during which periodic updates will be provided. Today's 18.04.4 LTS release is the fourth update, and the next update, 18.04.5 LTS, will be released on August 6 this year.
UbuntuKylin 14.04 (Trusty Tahr) is a long-term support version that providing up to 5 years of technical support (including regular updates / bug fixes / security upgrades), with a phased update. Five upgrades have been released as planned, but due to the same reason (APT security vulnerabilities) as last week's release of 16.04.6, the sixth version of 14.04.6 was released in parallel with Ubuntu, and UbuntuKylin is the only official Ubuntu derivative to participate in this release.
